Dennis Wright

Photo Dennis Wright currently serves as Vice President Sales for Freeport-McMoRan. Except for a few years in the molybdenum business with Climax Molybdenum, Dennis has spent his entire career in sales and marketing of the red metals. He has worked at Olin Brass, Brush Wellman, Cyprus, Phelps Dodge and now Freeport-McMoRan. He earned a degree in metallurgical engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Dennis is active in many copper industry organizations and has served on the Board of the American Copper Council for more than 15 years. He and his wife Sylvia live in Phoenix.

Jeffery Burghardt

Photo With more than 30 years of experience in the copper industry, Jeff is responsible for all aspects of metal procurement and risk management for Aurubis Buffalo, Inc. He is based at the Buffalo, NY plant which purchases refined copper and zinc, in addition to various grades of scrap, to produce a variety of alloys for automotive, air conditioning, ammunition and various other applications. Jeff has also been active in representing the copper fabrication industry in Washington on various issues including position limits and ETFs.

Jeff has degrees in both metallurgy and industrial technology and is a licensed boat captain. Married with two children, he serves on the Boards of the American Copper Council, Literacy Volunteers of Buffalo and the Buffalo YMCA. He is a member of the Copper Club.

Barry Feldman

Photo Barry Feldman was educated at the State University of New York and is a Vietnam Vet. He has spent 40 years in the metals business and currently serves as Senior Vice President at Red Kite Management USA, Inc., a commodity hedge fund.
Barry takes pride in the fact that he is a Pisces with blonde hair (what’s left of it!)

Photo Vania Grandi is the general manager of marketing and sales of copper and precious metals at Rio Tinto's Kennecott Utah Copper operations. Rio Tinto is a world leader in discovering, mining and processing the earth's mining resources in an economically, socially and environmentally responsible way. Vania is based in Salt Lake City and has global responsibility for the marketing and sales of copper and precious metals from Kennecott Utah Copper as well as for the development of marketing strategies for Rio Tinto copper projects. Prior to becoming general manager in 2008, Vania led Kennecott's Sustainable Development program for three years. Before joining Kennecott, she worked for the Associated Press in Italy as a reporter and editor. She also worked in public relations, media and communications for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Committee.
Vania received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and her MBA from Westminster College in Utah. At Dartmouth, she was a member of the varsity Alpine Ski Team. She was captain of the team from 1991-1992 and All American in 1989 and 1992. She was a member of the Canadian National Alpine Ski Team from 1984-1988. She speaks fluent French, Spanish and Italian and is a Six Sigma black belt.

Paul Eaglin

Photo Paul Eaglin had been Director of Sourcing for General Cable Corporation since 2009 with responsibilities for supplier selection, strategy, and development for all copper and aluminum based raw materials, steel wire, packaging components, electricity and natural gas, and scrap sales for 18 manufacturing facilities in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Paul's activities in North America support businesses with combined revenues north of $1.5 billion.
Paul started his career at General Cable after receiving his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Northern Kentucky University. While working at General Cable Paul received his MBA from Sir Thomas More College in 2007 and is a Six Sigma Greenbelt.

Photo Keith received a BS in Mineral Economics from Penn State and an MBA in Finance from Pace University. He has 20 years of experience in risk management having worked for both a major copper producer and a consumer. Keith is currently Head of Base Metal Sales at INTL FCStone in NY providing a full array of client hedging services on the LME and COMEX.







Mary Lou Hendricks

Photo Mary Lou began her career in the transportation industry in 1972 in Portland, Oregon, with the Harper Shipping Company. In 1976 she was transferred to Long Beach and was appointed vessel operations manager in Southern California -- the first woman to serve in this position!
She spent the next decade moving up through the ranks in the shipping/warehousing/distribution/ trucking industry. In 1987, Mary Lou and her husband Richard became business partners at Cal-West Express, a warehouse/distribution and trucking company. She was the first woman president of the Harbor Transportation Club of Long Beach and served as president and chairman of the International Trade Club of Southern California.
Mary Lou attended Seattle University and has 3 daughters and five grandchildren.

Photo Geoff began his career at International Wire Group in 2001 and worked in Operations, Quality Control and Purchasing before his current appointment as Corporate Director of Procurement and Logistics. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bryant University, and is the proud father of two daughters.







David Schilberg

Photo David graduated from Northeastern University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He moved to Charlotte, NC, to work for Ingersoll-Rand in their After -Market Finance Department. In 2006, David realized that the metal recycling industry was where he was meant to be, and he moved back to Connecticut to work for Prime Materials Recovery with his father and uncle. Currently he is at PMR working as a Metals Buyer and managing the IMC-MetalsAmerica hedge book.




Michael Slade

Photo Mike is the Vice President of Procurement at Cerro Flow Products LLC, a copper tube fabricator. He has been in the copper-related purchasing field for over 20 years with Cerro Flow, Emerson and Ingersoll Rand-Climate Control Division. Mike also manages the billet casting facility in Mexico, Missouri, and serves as the Business Unit Manager for Fabrication Products business. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri – St.Louis. Mike currently serves as the Chairman of the Boy Scouts Gateway District in St. Louis, Missouri.

Betsy Boland

Photo Betsy’s career includes fifteen years of experience in the fundraising, events management and not-for-profit fields. She has worked at Fordham University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and, most recently, SUNY Empire State College, where she managed the donor relations program.
She has worked as an independent event consultant, and is a graduate of Fordham University, Betsy has volunteered her expertise by serving on a number of boards focused on arts and culture and is the founder of Saratoga Springboard, a non-profit organization supporting the Saratoga Springs community.
