Keith received a BS in Mineral Economics from Penn State and an MBA in Finance from Pace University. He has 30 years of experience in risk management having worked for a major copper producer and a consumer and a number of LME brokerage firms. Keith is currently Vice President of Metals at ED&F Man Capital Markets in New York.

Chris Shimoda is the Vice President of Government Affairs for the California Trucking Association. He has been with CTA since 2007 and previously served as the Association’s Policy Director. Throughout his career Chris has worked with California agencies including the California Air Resources Board and California Highway Patrol on the development and implementation of major programs and regulations impacting the trucking industry. Chris is a member of several advisory boards and committees, including the California Freight Advisory Committee, the AB118 Advisory Group and the South Coast AQMD Air Quality Management Plan Advisory Group. He is a graduate of UC Davis.

Chris is a Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence. He provides forecasts and strategic guidance for a wide variety of corporate clients around the world. He is the chief economist for several national and international organizations – Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, National Association of Credit Management, Finance, Credit and International Business and the Business Information Industry Association. He is also the economic analyst for several state accounting societies – Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Kansas. Prior to starting Armada in 1999 he was a professor of economics and finance for 15 years – teaching in the US, Hungary, Russia, Estonia, Singapore and Taiwan. He holds advanced degrees in economics, Soviet studies and East Asian studies. Chris is the author of Business Intelligence Briefs and Executive Intelligence Briefs – both publications from Armada. He is also responsible for the Credit Manager’s Index from NACM and Fabrinomics from the FMA.

Jeff Carpenter currently serves as Supply Chain Strategy Director, Materials and Standards. In this role, he is responsible for creating and deploying supply chain strategies for Materials and Standards for all parts of the Boeing enterprise. Previously, Carpenter served as Director, Supplier Management responsible for the Italian supply chain, which produced major structural assemblies for Boeing Commercial Airplane programs.
Over his time at Boeing, Carpenter held several leadership roles on the 787 program, as well as Raw Material & Fastener Procurement and Distribution for all commercial airplane programs. He oversaw a cost reduction effort on the 787, working with engineering to create and move cost down projects quickly through the Boeing approval system to enable them to be incorporated on the airplane. Carpenter has held several leadership positions in the Commercial Airplanes’ Supplier Management organization, and was on the team to acquire and integrate Boeing South Carolina (formerly Vought).
Carpenter joined Boeing in 1998 as a procurement agent at the company’s Supplier Management division, following a college internship in 1997. He has held a variety of supply chain assignments across the company since then.
Raised in Edmonds, Washington, Carpenter received a bachelor’s of science degree in Finance and a 1 year certificate in Purchasing Management from Central Washington University. He lives in Mukilteo, Wash. with his wife and two daughters. |

Na obtained her PhD in Engineering at the University of Cambridge, working on the innovative business models for second-life battery systems. Prior to this, Na obtained her BEng degree in Material Science and Engineering at Central South University (China) and did her final year project on ionic liquid electrolytes for thermo-electrochemical cells at Monash University.
